Wyse USB Imager 1.4
Friday, 22 February 2008 by Michel Roth
For those of you familiar with working with Wyse Thin Clients (or any brand of Thin Client for that matter) know that it can be kind of a hassle to reimage a Thin Client without a network and a imaging server connected to that. Not anymore!

The FreeWyseMonkeys have created a free tool called Wyse USB Imager 1.4. The Wyse USB Imaging download has a process of creating a bootable USB memory stick with the Wyse Thin Client imaging DOS software. This is useful for administrators to be able to recover Wyse Thin Clients with corrupt firmware in the field without the need for networking and imaging servers. Due to the complex setup and the slow speed images load (USB 1.x speed) it is not recommended as a mass deployment tool. Rather as part of the savvy Wyse admins “Tool Kit”.

It supports the following Wyse Thin Clients

  • x150 (9150, 5150 and 3150)
  • V-Class (V90, V50 and V30)
  • S-Class (non-RoHS S90, S50 and S30)
  • V Class L/LE- (V90L/LE, V50L/LE, V30L/LE and V10L)
  • S-Class (RoHS S90, S50 and S30)
  • G90
  • X90/e Thin Notebook
Download the the Wyse USB Imager 1.4 . (did I mention that it's free?)
