Xcalibur Global 1.2 New Features: Connectivity to Microsoft SMS Server makes it possible to update your SMS database with thin client hardware and software information by extracting thin client details from the Xcalibur Global database to the SMS System: • Making it possible to integrate Chip PC thin clients into the SMS inventory reports • View thin clients hardware and software details via SMS • View thin clients Network information via SMS, and more Session Desk Console (Help Desk component) enables Information Technology departments to manage, sort and track service requests using the most efficient methods integrating help desk functionalities into the Xcalibur Global including: • Terminal Server Session Management: interact with terminal server sessions, shadow sessions, reset, logoff • Link Session Information: link between a thin client user and device to the terminal server it is connected to • Help Desk Center: enables thin client users to open support calls from the thin client itself Virtual Desktop Center further enhances the existing support in virtual desktops, such as VMware VDI. • Desktops Pool: pool virtual or actual desktops into groups thus making it possible randomly assigned machines to users • Manage Virtual Machines status: connect to the VMware Virtual Center and manage VM's status (Stop/Start/Pause/ Resume and more) • Wake Virtual Machines on the fly: when connecting to a VM which is in standby – send a wake-up command to it.
