Xythos Software And Softricity Announce Certified Technology Partnership
Tuesday, 04 April 2006 by Michel Roth
Xythos Software, the leading developer of essential document and file management software, and Softricity today announced they will join each other's certified technology programs as part of a solution to deliver web-enabled content management and collaboration with application virtualization and on-demand streaming. The first proof of this is the "Northeastern on Demand" initiative which will, over time, serve more than 50,000 administrators, faculty and students.

Today, organizations are challenged to keep up with the rapid expansion of digital content -- capturing, managing, storing and sharing documents over the Internet -- while trying to keep application management costs down. Northeastern University , for example, serves a diverse user base that must be able to collaborate, share documents and access applications on demand. Their new web initiative, "Northeastern on Demand," will utilize Xythos WebFile Server and the Softricity Desktop(TM) to deliver the benefits of web-based storage and collaboration coupled with dynamic application delivery through a secure enterprise portal environment to its users.
